Two toilets

We officially have two toilets, two basins and two showers that work. Master plumber Keller was kind enough to connect the water and voile there was working plumbing things. The toilet is fine to use along with the basin but we really should get a shower screen built before launching into the en suite fully.

Dad in the bath??

There are good and bad points about dad in the bath. Good point the water rises heaps, bad point there is less room, good point he squirts you with the bath toys, bad point there is less room. Okay so there are more good points than bad points. Anyway, Alicia and I think its fun.

How big is this chip?

There are some things in this world that amaze even me, and it happens to be this chip. Its a frozen chip probably from frozen makeshift potatoes but that doesn't detract from the size. Its amost 18cms as you can see from the ruler. Ewan had a really big chip a couple of nights later which I had to take a photo of, but it doesn't compare to the monster chip of all time.

Alicia loves her babies

How is it that Alicia just adores her dolls. She didn't even own a doll until she was almost 1. That obviously hasn't been a deterrent because now she has taken to dragging her dolls everywhere we go. This is not normal for us, because Ewan didn't get too attached to anything, except maybe Aunty Leannes pound puppy. (another story) Well Alicia loves her babies and especially Baby Cameron or Carla (the name changes depending on the outfit). She is a right little mother and does a really good job, most of the time. The doll looks like a real baby and has instigated conversations from strangers because of the likeness. Just the other day whilst at IKEA, Brad had a couple of comments. Yes he was holding it whilst Alicia played. Anyway Alicia won't go anywhere without her baby.

Mum dancing

This is what I look like whilst blogging and dancing to the Wiggles whilst sitting down. Not attractive I know, but real

Wrestling with Dad

Why has it become a nightly ritual to wrestle with dad. Not only is Ewan involved but Alicia has to be in on the action. She can be as rough as Ewan and won't back down. She does have a tendency to be a little girlie when things aren't going her way though. Ewan loves it and secretly so does Brad.

Alicia and Camerons dummy

If you took a look at these photos you would assume Alicia has always had a dummy, but that is not the case. She has however developed a fascination with Cameron's dummy. She will take it and run, munch on it and won't give it back without her classic tantrums. I just think its a novel item.

How to get kids to eat

We had Chicken and Chips for tea tonight and both Cameron and Alicia still had a lot to eat but neither was interested. Aunty Leanne then got Alicia to feed Cameron and visa versa. It worked a treat. They ended up eating heaps!!!! It was very funny to watch and a little bit messy. I'm not sure if Cameron was completely happy (check out the photo) but seemed eager enough to eat everything Alicia gave him.

Ewan has seen inside the roof

Poppa had been doing some work in the roof and the light was on. Brad had installed a light in the roof in case they needed to do work up there. Ewan spotted this and thought it was cool. I said that he could have a look once dad got home from work. He was so excited climbing the ladder and when he looked into the roof......he thought it was pretty cool.
That's something that he has never seen before.

Alicias hair has been cut

Alicia had her first official hair cut last Wednesday. I say official because prior to Ewans experiment she has only had her hair trimmed. It doesn't look as bad as I had envisaged. But me being the dramatic one in the family, imagined her hair like that for her wedding. Yes, I know. So Nicole did a wonderful job and all is reasonably well.

I'm Studying

I may be stupid but I have decided to do some study. Its by correspondence and will take approx 18mths. If I have it finished before Alicia goes to school, I will be happy.
Public Relations & Event Management. Sounds cool, doesn't it. I'll let you know, I received my first package in the mail.

Does this clock look right?

Here is a photo of a clock that Brad got for his 21st. Does it look complete to you? If you answered, NO, then you would be right. Usually it has a glass dome covering it. Well that dome cover met with an unfortunate accident. It could have only come into contact with one of two children. Guess which one. Yes, Alicia decided that it didn't need a cover after all. According to Ewan (who is definitely not a reliant witness) said that Alicia kicked it. I don't even want to go there, so we won't.

A new addition to the Family

What the???? You say. Our family has grown by one. And its a tiny tiny one. His/Her name is Mudgie. Mudgie the Budgie. I named it mainly because I didn't want to have to contend with Billy which was Ewans name. Billy from child care was not nice.
Mudgie is blue/grey and even after the first day will go onto your finger and I can stroke its wing. It is only a baby so I am hopeful I can teach it to talk and sit on your shoulder. A little ambitious I know but I've done it before.

Ewan believes he's a hairdresser

Well Ewan did believe he was a hairdresser this morning when he decided to cut Alicia's hair. Unfortunately for Alicia, he did a shocking job. So much so, that I was devastated and cried for at least 20min solid. I couldn't even speak to Ewan. There is no way to fix it or cover it up, thankfully he didn't cut the front but the side and really close to her head. It doesn't look so bad with her hair wet, but when its dry it looks dreadful. I think I was so upset because we have been growing it for 2 years and it has finally reached a length that is really nice and she has these curly bits at the back. And she has only recently had her first real hair cut. God knows what Donna is gonna do this with one.

Ewan sleeping again

Ewan continues to amaze me with his sleeping positions.

Poor Pepper

Pepper and I have some bonding time, usually when I go to bed, either to sleep or watch TV. She jumps up and I rub her little tummy. She loves it. What she doesn't like, is when Brad comes to bed. He doesn't want her on the bed and certainly lets her know. He points his finger at her and says, "Off". This is usually enough for her to get off the bed independently and go lie on her pillow. The other night, she wasn't going to budge, as you can see from the photo. If it meant having to lie on me, that was going to happen and it did.

The birds in our Area

I was looking out the French doors yesterday and noticed two parrots sitting in a tree. They were there for ages. This is the type of bird we get in our area, I would assume because we are close to Linear Park. They can be very chirpy but are absolutely beautiful

Ewan's first visit to the Movies

Ewan went to the movies for the first time today. He and Brad went and saw Spiderman 3. I wasn't even sure he would be allowed in. He had a great time. He explained what happened with Spiderman and that he saw it on a big big screen. Brad said he only wriggled a few times but I would expect that. I was excited for him, because it is a really good experience.

He wore his Spiderman outfit including mask, took his Spiderman jacket and his Spiderman bag. If anything, he looked the part. Apparently everyone commented on his outfit but he didn't seem too perturbed about that.

Ewans sleeping habits have not changed

I was busy in the computer room and thought it was a little too quiet in the lounge. Once I emerged, I found Ewan asleep on Brads back, whilst Brad was reading his Cruizin magazine. Now we are not necessarily shocked when we see Ewan sleeping in weird positions but it can't have been that comfortable. He has always been the same, once he is tired that is it.....he is asleep regardless where he is. He has fallen asleep on me whilst at Fasta Pasta and the Royal Hotel. Hence, he sleeps when he's tired.

Who said dads can't do hair do's

I thought Brad did a really good job tonight with Alicia's hair. Not only was it away from her face, but if we had put a decoration in her hair and a fancy dress on, she could have been mistaken for going to a party.

Ewan has even hair

It only took two haircuts and you may have noticed that Ewans fringe is no longer chopped into. I hope this episode of our lives is gone forever and I won't have to put Donna through another hair crisis for a while.

Batwoman and Batgirl

Introducing you to Batwoman and Batgirl. They fight poos, constant drink filling and baby swaddling together. I have to admit, that Batwoman takes on a little more than Batgirl but she makes sure that Batwoman is never idle and always willing to help hang out the washing, put a nappy in the bin and look cute on queue.

Alicia can open the fridge.

Alicia has learnt to open the fridge. This may seem a harmless act, but believe me its not. Now when I go to get something from the fridge, like cake etc, there always seems to be a little finger mark in it. So we have to put delicate items higher than she can reach. Soon she will be trying to fill her own cup, I just can't wait to have juice all over the floor.

I've added a New LINK

You may or may not have noticed that I have added another link (to the right).
Brads Photobucket. This is where Brad stores most of his Mad Max Photos etc, so if you are keen, check it out. One for the boys at least.
