Food is Everywhere

Why is it that kids don't care. They don't care if they play in their jocks all day. They don't care if their hair is in their face. They don't care if food is all over their face. Well, that would be our kids at least. Alicia finished all her tea again tonight and then proceeded to eat a piece of bread with butter on it. By the time she had scoffed it, she was left with most of the butter on her face. You can't quite see in the picture but you get the gist. Of course, Ewan couldn't be out done and with a little help from his mum, thought he would give the tomato sauce a work out.

Playstation Rocks

Ewan has discovered the playstation, big time. He has been playing it for a while on and off but in the last couple of days he found out there are more high level games like Crash Bandicoot. Believe me this is high level for us. Brad would probably prefer something like Colin McRae (or whatever) but at least Crash is a viewer friendly game. He loves it. He needs assistance every now and then but on the whole is actually quite good. Happy playstationing Ewan.

Peek-a-boo

The kids were playing hide and seek today outside and I found them behind Brads pullapart Ford Falcon wagon. However I did do a double take because I couldn't quite see them behind the weeds. The weeds are a little out of control, don't you think?

Alicia's room is almost complete

We have curtins in Alicias room and it certainly makes it look more girlie. I had been contemplating it for a few weeks and was reluctant because I didn't want to drill holes in the wall.

Well I found some really cool curtins and its exactly what I had in mind. They are purple see through with little glittery sequin things on it. Which light up different colours when you turn the light on.

Perfect, I must say. Alicia likes them a lot too.

I hope you get the idea from the photos.

Peppie loves her teddy

Its been a while since Pepper decided to play with her teddy but this morning, she obviously felt a need.

She was having a ball, running after it and being teased by it. She walked around with it in her mouth for ages. Funny dog.

Dad is 65

Dad turns 65 today and he officially retired last Friday. At the moment he still feels like he is on leave but I'm assuming it will hit him in a couple of months.

I'm not sure what it would feel like. He is from the generation that you just work and work and are pleased to be working. So to go from everything to nothing will be a life change. What we do need to get, is a hobby for him because he is going to be bored and drive my mum nuts. So if you have any suggestions please feel free to submit these.

We are going there for coffee and cake tonight and I can't wait for him to open his presents. He's gonna think they are cool.

Ebay Seller

I am an ebay seller officially. All the items sold for the reserve price except for 1 but hey, a good result for the first time I think. Now I just have to sort out the money and send the items. Next time, I will try and finish the auction at night. It was difficult to keep track of during the day. A hint, from ebays newest seller.

The Front Door is complete

I didn't think that I acted prematurely the other day when I commented on the front door, but obviously I did. You may or may not have known that I had ordered a security door, about two weeks ago. Well today he rang me to let me know that it was finished and basically insisted that it be put up tonight. So there he was when I finished work, assembling and installing the door. Was I excited??? You bet I was. It looks beautiful, I think and is certainly a welcomed addition to the addition. (think about it).

Tell me what you think?

A minor Miracle

The kids ate all their tea. Yeah, so.... you may ask. Well its what they had for tea, and that they ate it all (literally) which was miraculous.
They had: marinated steak, mashed potatoe, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.
Get out! Yeah, I know. That has to be the first time ever that Ewan has eaten marinated steak, let alone with the vegetables. Normally he grumbles big time.
I had to share this, it was in the good baset.

The Front Door

The Front Door is finished. I only have to remove the paper from the windows and we are done.
From this:

To this:
We had to get a move on because I have ordered a security door. Thank god. That is something that I have wanted for a long time. Another thing off the list. Too bad doors have two sides. Yeah, thats right! Damn!

I have a headache

I have had this headache for the past 2 days now and can't seem to get rid of it. Yesterday it did progress into a migraine but has since subsided. I suppose that 3 hours of sleep I had during the day must have helped. I haven't had one like this for ages and quite frankly I'm over it. I suppose I'll just keep popping the pills and hope for some relief.

Donna is a miracle worker

Ewan had his hair cut today, professionally and as you can tell by the photos, you wouldn't have even known his fringe was cut to bits. Well done Donna. And as per her advice, I will keep his hair spiked for a while.

I'm a Seller on Ebay

I know I have been saying if for quite a while now, but I have finally created my own account and have become an Ebay seller. I have 3 items for sale, 2 baby carriers and a microwave steriliser. Wish me luck everybody.
Brads happy because now we can start selling the car parts from the Ford Wagon that is an eye sore out the back. Which will probably become more of an eye sore, once we start selling parts off it.
Oh, I don't know.

Kids will sleep anywhere

We left Ewan last night, watching tv on our bed. A little bit later I checked him and he was still watching tv, and then I checked again, he was asleep. Check out where and how. He is known to sleep in unusual positions.

The Moon is Beautiful

The moon lately has been really beautiful. It has been really low in the sky, full and very prominent. I never noticed it before but this summer has produced some excellent viewing.

Ewan has a hair cut

Ewan and the notorious Billy at Child Care, apparently decided Ewan needed a hair cut. Where were the carers whilst this was in play. Who knows?? So, Ewan now has a lovely gap in his fringe. I might add that he is going for a professional hair cut on Wednesday, hopefully Donna can sort of cover it up. Unbelieveable!!
