What a catch!

You know you have mastered some form of parenthood when you can catch your childs vomit.

Not only did I catch it once but twice. I was impressed, not necessarily at the time but certainly on reflection of it. Poor Miss Alicia wasn't well and thankfully she gave a couple of coughs before it sprang forth. I will mention that I didn't get out of it completely, I did change OUR bed twice.

She is fine and I'm not sure if she just ate too much or what she ate. Who knows, maybe the vomit fairy decided it was our turn to suffer instead of some other poor soul. Whatever the reason, we're over it now, and as I said, I feel a sense of pride. Sad really.

Another Christmas Party!

Yes, that is all we seem to do around here. Have Christmas Parties.
Dad had his work Christmas Party last weekend and same deal, it was cool. We went to Greenhills Adventure Park, Victor Harbor.

There is a heap of things to do there. For example, jumping castles, a maze, moon bikes, canoes, paddle boats, flying fox, playground, go carts, a little lagoon and last but not least, two water slides. Of course the kids wanted to do everything all at once, and it took all our power to pace them. The photos are the high lights.

Ewan loved the water slide and went down it all by himself. A brave little soul. I helped him the first couple of times (not that he needed it) and then after that, he was a pro. He seemed so tiny. Alicia obviously preferred to kick around in the lagoon, but she did go on a little waterslide that was there, not from the top though.
Father Christmas did join us and Ewan was reasonably happy to collect his present, Miss Alicia was not going anywhere near him. Oh well.

We arrived about 10.30am and left about 3.30pm. Ewan was asleep by 4.30pm and didn't wake until the next day at 6.30am. That in itself is amazing. In his entire 4 years, he has never ever slept that much in one sitting.
The kids had a really good time and so did we. Dads company put on a really nice BBQ, drinks and icecream. Too bad that was the last one.

Christmas Parties

We went to mums work Christmas Party on Sunday. We had a great time. The kids especially liked all the rides and activities. As soon as we got there, it was go, go, go.

Ewan got his face painted as Spiderman (surprise, surprise) even Alicia sat still long enough to have a few flowers painted on her face. They both looked great but it took all of 2 seconds for Ewan to smudge it. Luckily I had taken a photo almost instantly after he was finished.

Next, car ride ons and bike rides. Little battery operated vehicles that Ewan could steer all by himself. He loved it and ended up a keen car driver towards the end of the day. Mind you, the adults had a few laughs at his expense.

He also went on the Gravitron (huge spinning ride), massive blow up slippery dip, ferris wheel and checked out the petting zoo. Alicia went on the beetle ride (a little roller coaster).

The main attraction however was Father Christmas arriving on a Fire Engine. It was pretty cool to see because we were on the Ferris Wheel at the time. Both my kids have decided that they are scared of Father Christmas and weren't too happy about having to collect the present from him, but they did. Not that we got a photo or they sat on his knee.

The presents were cool aswell. Alicia got a full on kitchen set and Ewan got this massive truck with semi trailer.

We've got to do it all again this weekend for Dad's work Christmas Party. That should prove more full on than mum's. Anyway it is was really good fun and the kids had a ball.

I bought a digital camera!!!

Yes. I finally bought one.
I know that I have been driving everyone crazy with the new digital camera talk. But you know me, obsessive compulsive. And you wouldn't have me any other way, I'm sure.
Anyway, I finally did all my research and thought it would be best to go to Teds and Diamonds for some advice.
I got the advice and it was the same at both places, however Teds did a better deal, hence thats where I bought it. I haven't loaded any software or even charged the thing. I think I wanted to wait until Xmas because it is a Xmas present, but the more I use the old one, the more frustrated I get. And besides Brad said it was okay, so I might even take him up on the offer. I'm excited!!!!!!

Wiggles Concert

We went to the Wiggles concert and it was great.

We had the new Wiggle 'Sam' and he did a very good job. Greg would be pleased. Especially since I know Greg personally (not).

Aunty Leanne, Uncle Steve and Cameron went also. This was Alicia's first concert and Ewans 3rd. I don't think we will go again. Ewan was a little bored, to say the least, and Alicia got the hang of it towards the end but wouldn't sit still long enough. Cameron seemed to enjoy himself, especially when the big bears were dancing, as usual he was extremely well behaved. One out of three aint bad. We did come away with two souvenirs, which cost $20 in total. You wouldn't think that balloons could be so expensive, so far the kids have had lots of enjoyment out of them. Thanks Aunty Leanne for getting the tickets.

I think next, we might tackle the movies with Ewan and see what he can make of that.
