Missed out again.
This will not be happening in the future at my present work situation. Therefore my role (I think) has just gone from being bearable to unbearable. There is no way that I will be able to take criticism or guidance from them. Especially when they are asking for my opinion. Help me please, if you have a really cool, inspiring job that requires a motivated, autonomous but creative individual. Call me 1800 non brown noser.
Why is work Busy?
I was supposed to go from Flinders Park to Nuriootpa to Brooklyn Park. Yeah right. I don't know why I even thought I could do this. It should have been possible in theory but when is theory ever right. Then how can it be theory.....oh I just confused myself, not hard right now.
At least I contacted those that I was supposed to see, to say that I'd be late. Some weren't too happy but they thought it professional to call ahead and apologise. I don't like doing this, you understand. It affects my reputation. But at least the day is almost over. I can now start to think about tomorrow and Thursday. Thats right, I can generally only manage 2 days in advance. A colleague of mine, made the remark today, 'Boy, you are organised' mainly because I had written down what not to forget. I explained that if I didn't write it down, it was lost forever. My brain is gone and it doesn't look like returning in the near future. Ce la vie. I've got other qualities. Please bear with me while I go look for those now.

Ewans 4th Birthday Party
All the kids looked cool and everyone had gone to a lot of trouble. Thanks mums and dads. It looked as though everyone was having a good time. Not that I spoke to anyone longer than 3 mins. You get that I suppose.
The treasure hunt went well, the homemade pinata was unbreakable, and the balloon race was hysterical, especially when the balloons flew out and then popped. It kept the kids occupied for at least 10 mins. Mission accomplished. Then came the cake cutting which a couple of kids missed because time just gets away from you. Have a look at this beauty
It may have been a pain in the butt to do, but it did look BRILLIANT. Well done Nanna.
Thanks to everyone for their presents, Ewan is certainly playing with and wearing everything that was given. He was thoroughly spoilt and we thank you. Look out the for the next one that doesn't seem that far away.
They do grow up too fast.
Ewan turns 4
This was the first year that I didn't actually think about and relive the birth of Ewan. Every year before, it was almost ritualistic, that I thought about the sequence of events, what happened when and what I was feeling. Does this mean that I'm over it? It literally only feels like the other day but obviously it isn't. Is this the beginning of not remembering? I feel that its a really really important day for everyone concerned. It was the day that our partnership grew to become a family, Nanna and Poppa became grandparents for the first time, Aunty Leanne, Aunty Susy and Uncle Frank became Aunties & Uncles and Grandma and Grandpa's little girl became a mummy for the first time. As I said, it was a really important day.
Ewan has turned out to be a lovely kid. A typical boy, and a slight pain but nonetheless he surprises us all the time. I sincerely enjoy having him as my son and am very proud already of his accomplishments.
Happy Birthday Ewan wishing you many many more.
Ewan gets presents
Ewan received a few presents on his actual birthday and one in particular you couldn't get off him. He loved and still loves the Batman Costume given by Nanna and Poppa. He had it on for at least 3 days straight and under Brads guidance, thought he should pose for some photos. I don't believe the photos needed to include the arm of the lounge, but they did. I have to admit, they turned out great.
I was a little scared because I had gone to so much trouble with the Spiderman theme for his birthday and thought he may betray Spiderman. But Spiderman triumphed and was reborn for the party. Batman was held hostage in the wash.

Prelude Posting
So that will be my mission, to find out who gave him what, so at least in my mind and for recording prosperity we will know for years to come.

Out of Control
I have to say that it always starts out innocently enough but you know the story. One minute you are buying a pinata and the next minute you are making one. Fun, but time consuming. Well if you have wondered, that is where I have been. Building pinatas, blowing up balloons, discussing Birthday cakes etc etc. You should have some wonderful photos to view soon.
Happy birthday Ewan, we hope you have a great birthday party tomorrow.
