For about a month I have been reliving the memories of when we went overseas to Europe. I remember some really good times and it being an adventure. I would love to do more of that, but I suppose it will have to wait now. Brad is still keen on New Zealand when the kids are about 10 and 8, so I suppose that is only 4 years away. Time does fly.

Kids sick, me sick

We are called the sicklies. At least for last week and probably for a little of this week. Ewan is the worst with a temp of 39.6 degrees. We now call him Mr sleepalot. It was a little unnerving to see him sleep so much because I don't think he has ever done that. The temp wasn't the main problem it was getting panadol into him and Alicia is even worse. We had to bribe and fight. The kids being sick is very exhausting. He is on the mend because he is back fighting with Alicia like normal and his appetite is returning. We love healthy kids.

This horse is my friend

Why is this horse my friend. Because it runs for a reasonable length of time and it only cost $1.00. Only $1.00, can you believe it. Usually these rides are at least $2.00 and usually they don't do anything. This one at least rocks back and forth, almost like a horse action. Yes, we like this ride. We also like the rides that incorporate both kids at once. Merry-go-rounds spring to mind. Whoever thought of these rides, will be making a fortune.

We went ten pin bowling

We went bowling last night with the Smyths. It was the most fun we have had in ages. We laughed, made fun of each other and had a really good time. The adults had their own lane and the kids had a bumper lane. Obviously the kids needed a little bit of help and I think 1 game is enough for them but on the whole they weren't too bad. Alex did really well in the 1st game, Ewan fell down once and I had to push his ball along another time from half way down the lane. It is mega slippery down there. I won the 1st adult game and Matt won the next. I think we will go again but let our nails regrow (Carla broke 2 nails) and maybe next time, spend some time getting the right ball.

Breakfast a la Ewan

This is becoming a habit. Ewan and Alicia making their own breakfast. I have to say that we are not discouraging them. All I want to know, is when are they allowed to make coffee?? Yes, we have had vegemite in the butter and the vegemite has almost gone, but there is no complaining from Brad or myself.

Keira and her teddy

OOHHH. Its that beautiful. Little Keira cuddling her teddy.

Would you trust them?

Look at the terrible twosome. Would you trust them? No, be afraid, be very afraid. No doubt the one in the background (Keira) will continue on the tradition.

Hurry up LOVE

There we were, waiting in the traffic to cross the road. Brad says, "Hurry up!" Alicia says, "Love!" I didn't quite get what she said, so I asked her to repeat it. Again she says, "Love". This time I get it. I think to myself, why did she say love? She was just continuing on from Brads comment. Hurry up Love. Who says this I wonder. Wonder no more Brad says Hurry up love or cmon love, when he's in the car and waiting for the traffic. Moral, watch what you say, especially in the car.

What is that??

Things that grow from your head. Actually, its a hat kindly given by Aunty Tash. If not a fashion statement, it certainly will keep you head, ears, neck and hair warm. Ewan got a Spiderman woollen cap and she assures us, that that is what all the big kids wear. Seriously, what are they thinking? ha ha ha

Grading is complete - Brown belt

Ewan had his grading for taekwondo the other week and graduated to brown belt. It looks pretty cool and much nicer looking than white belt. White belts look so plain. He was a little excited to be given another belt and hopefully he won't lose this one! Congratulations Ewan, keep up the good work.
